(: Amazing Thailand :)

Hi, we are Matthew (Anmouys) and Melvin from 1A. (Please don’t come & find out who we are) We are here to introduce to you a country you have never been to before, Thailand!!! Okay maybe

you have been there before but now we are here to tell the never before seen side of Thailand!

Thailand is a country of 65,070,000 people. However, most of them are living in poverty. Their currency is known as baht. F.Y.I $1 Singapore dollars is about 23 baht.

Its Capital is Bangkok, famous for its Markets. But be warned that there are dangers in venturing into them as there are pickpocketers, kidnappers and other bad people. Always stick with a adult when shopping!

The ruling monarch of Thailand is King Bhumibol Adulyadej. He has ruled for a thousand years…oh, sorry that’s 62 years. Find out more of this long-serving leader at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhumibol_Adulyadej.

Most of its people speak Thai, their native language. However some also speak English to communicate with the Western World.

As with other countries, they too need to import natural resources to strengthen their economic status. They do export resources such as tin, natural gas, tungsten, timber etc.

Their country consists of different ethnic groups. 75% of them are Thai, 14% is Chinese while 11% is others.

Thailand is one of the countries in South-East Asia which attracts tourists with its natural beauty and wonderful mix of olden and mordern times. Temples and ruins of forgotten cities dot the country site while its newer cities, such as Bangkok, sport modern looks. Maybe these are the reasons Thailand can be considered a second world country trying to be a first! A note of Reminder: Avoid going from July to November as this period is Thailands monsoon season and the weather gets warm and sticky. If possible, November - February is the best time to visit as the weather is kind and the beaches are at their finest. This period is Thailand's festive season and you will get to see many national and regional festivals!
Picture Time!

Bangkok, Capital of Thailand

We hope that you have more or less understood Thailand better. Tune in next time!
Signing off,
Melvin and Matthew :)
